About
Why we built this, how we work, and what we will not do.
Most counselling in India starts with a conversation and an opinion. Ours starts with an assessment and a set of numbers, because opinions are cheap and the decisions people bring us are not.
Why we built this
A student choosing a stream at fifteen is making a decision worth several years of their life, usually on the advice of a relative who did well in one field two decades ago. An adult questioning their career at thirty is making a decision worth several lakh in foregone income, usually with nobody to talk to about it at all. A couple deciding whether to marry is making the largest decision of either of their lives, often having never discussed money, in-laws or children directly.
In each case the information that would help exists. It is just not in front of the person who needs it.
How we work
Every assessment on this site is adaptive — the questions you get depend on how you answered the earlier ones, so the test narrows in on your situation rather than treating everyone identically. Scoring runs on established frameworks, not on categories we invented. And the reports include the parts you will not enjoy reading: long training paths, low starting salaries, automation risk, patterns that are costing you something.
A report that only flatters is worthless, and people can tell.
What we will not do
- We will not diagnose you. No online questionnaire can, and any service that claims otherwise is misleading you. Our wellbeing check-in says this on every page of the report.
- We will not give you a compatibility percentage. There is no validated way to produce one, and people make decisions about marriage on numbers like that.
- We will not put safety behind a paywall. If someone indicates they are at risk, the assessment stops, the report unlocks free, and helpline numbers appear. That is not a commercial decision.
- We will not sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to colleges, not to anyone.
On price
Counselling in India is often priced as though only affluent families need it. Our assessments start at a few hundred rupees and every one of them is free to take — you only pay if you want the detailed report at the end. If money is genuinely the barrier, Tele-MANAS on 14416 is free, government-run and available round the clock. We would rather you called them than nobody.
